Afghan Peace Activist Malalai Joya Says Bush and Obama are the same- Worst massacre in Afghanistan happened in Obama's era!

Watch this from the largest independent non-corporate, non-governmental, non-profit daily news show: democracynow.org to see this Afghani woman speak about this occupation for which we pay with our tax money.  Instead this tax money should be used to create jobs instead of war.

Malalai Joya is one of Afghanistan’s leading democracy activists. In 2005, she became the youngest person ever elected to the Afghan parliament. She was suspended in 2007 for her denunciation of warlords and their cronies in government. She has just written her memoir, “A Woman Among Warlords: The Extraordinary Story of an Afghan Woman Who Dared to Speak Out.”

She spoke in New York at the Northeast Socialist Conference on October 23, 2009.

I love that show. It's the place to go for in depth coverage of what the US is doing around the world--while NBC,et al. feeds us garbage feel-good stories about puppies stuck in a tree. You will NEVER hear the complete truth on a corporate news show.

Americans have been blind to the fact that we as a society  are war mongers fixated on the 'war on drugs!', the 'war on terror!', the 'war on this!', the 'war on that!' It's really a sick, very profitable obbsession. Citizens who are truly for peace are brushed off as looney toons. HUH. Peace is looney? The propagandists sure have done a great job! They deserve a big, fat bonus! Paid for by you and I, of course.

Corporate media teaches Americans to be arrogant.

SO SO true what you say!!!

Paid for by you and me.

The people out there are so out of it.  There are no jobs, people are getting sick from the ways we produce food and run our industries and at the same time, we pay, pay and pay for these people to continue their sick wars on this and that as you say.

It is sickening.

YES!  The propagandists of corporate media have done a good job.  They have really convinced everyone of their lies.  It's a freakin' Monte Python movie!

And yes, it is a profitable obsession but for whom?  Only for a few people.  People don't realize that they can live in a world of peace and have a better livelihood than this bullshit that America has mired itself in; this pollution, this insecurity in our so called communities, bankruptcies, increased cancer rates, increased terrorism; all these things can be solved without war.  Aggression, punitiveness, war, occupation, this arrogance; these are not the solution.

There are many ways for news jobs to be created but people must take action and educate themselves with the largest independent media.

Thanks Sweetie.

Why aren't Obama bashers all over this???? Because they are pro-war, perhaps?
