  • He probably did not want to go kill his own people so he went nuts.

Yeah I know he is American and born here but still, his name says something of his heritage and he probably did not want to go kill some Arabs since he himself has ancestors from there.

  • Well he is a Doctor and they have to take an oath don't they? Not to kill? Maybe that was apart of it too!?

  • they said that he worked with soldiers dealing with the stress of combat and he was horrified by the stories they told.  he no longer wanted to deploy..and that he wanted out.

i couldn't watch the video for some reason, my computer is acting up, so i don't know if they discussed that in the clip.

they just reported that he is alive and not dead as it was previously reported.

  •  My memaw was just telling me they said on the news  he isn't dead. They say he's in the hospital in critical condition. Has anyone else heard this?

  • YUP. It is everywhere now, he is not dead as originally reported. This is going to be a doozy of a story when it all comes to light...

When I was deployed non of the combat stress team left our base. Since that's what he was, I wouldn't see how he would be anywhere to have the option to kill anyone. Unless the Iraqi's came on the base somehow. The team is in place to help other soldier's on the bases cope with what they are going through. I do remember hearing something about chaplain's not carrying weapons, but I'm not sure about doctors. Our doctor's carried them when we were deployed.

  • This is sad. I dont think it has anything to do with him being muslim. It says he was harrased and horrified by the stories from the returning soldiers. I think when he was pressented with the fact that he was being deployed, he broke, he went crazy.

I can imagine alot of these men are, but this guy had heard the horror stories of them all, before they said he had to go. And I agree he just went crazy.
