Toxic Waters: Regulatory Absence Allows Chemical, Coal and Farm Industries to Pollute US Water Supplies

Water4-web

We speak to New York Times reporter Charles Duhigg about the latest in his investigative series “Toxic Waters,” which examines the worsening pollution in the nation’s water systems. Duhigg joined us last month to discuss how chemical companies have violated the Clean Water Act more than 500,000 times in the last five years, most without punishment. Since then he has written articles focusing on how coal-fired power plants and large farms are threatening the nation’s drinking water. [includes rush transcript]

The government puts fluoride in your water that is also just as toxic. More toxic and damaging than lead.

Is it even possible that there is any waters in America that are not toxic or contaminated? We (most modern human race) have just made one big giant mess for our selves.

Yeah, I agree. But we can change it.

Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation- aka - feedlot. In this case, cows and hogs a little too near our water supply. Illegally- I might add. But the mayor is a relative of the guy that put the thing up.

You are the first person I have heard say that in a LONG time :)  We can't change it completely but we can cut it dramatically and stop further contamination. There are many things we can clean up and deposit in certain areas to keep it secluded.

I'm afraid that many masses of people are addicted to self gratification. I know we all have some but we need to be educated about what different products do to the human body.  Its toxins that people buy and use daily. Skin, cleaning, foods, air, pharmaceuticals, lawn care,  water, ect..... We assume that if it could harm us they wouldn't put it in there which is usually not the case.  Mass amounts of product given up, is it possible?

Im willing to step up to the plate right here right now and say " YES, I am willing to personally do my best for my self and others. I am here when we need to reunite, reclean,  re plan, replant, rebuild, and re love our earth, air, and water. Just call upon me".

The first step is how do we stop it and how do we let masses of people know? I would love to hear your opinions for change :)
