I need to preface this by saying that I first heard of this 6 years ago and did not believe it one bit. I started believing it could be true about two years ago when a young girl was found in my husband's village, the killer got scared away and left evidence of what he was doing. After that the village formed a group of people who patrol at night. This is horrible stuff so if you don't stomach things well don't read on.
I am writing this hoping to find some answers. Does anyone out there work for a cosmetics company who can tell me what they put in their anti-aging serums?
If this is true, the word needs to get out and this really has to be stopped.
We get news via satellite television from Peru. Last night they showed a story of 3 men who got caught. These men are part of a group that kills people, not for their organs but for their oil. The story of pelacaras (skin-peelers) is very alive in the Ucayalli region of Peru, but it is hard to believe. It is actually really dangerous in some parts of Peru. If you are of european decent in the jungle and aren't informing the locals of your presence ahead of time you are in danger of being killed. They assume gringoes are pishtacos (killers) and they are just protecting their families. But these guys got caught and they are not gringoes, now the story is out:
"Police showed reporters confiscated bottles of alleged human fat It was then sold on to intermediaries in Peru's capital Lima, before heading to cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies in Europe. Medical experts have cast doubt on the trade of human fat but said it was used in anti-wrinkle treatments. The fat is normally always taken from a living patient, usually from the stomach or buttocks. Peruvian authorities said at least six men remained at large - including alleged gang leader, Hilario Cudena. One of the men in custody reportedly told police Cudena has been killing people for their fat for more than 30 years."
Gross. I use Aubrey which is entirely vegan, so hopefully...
but yeah- this is just wrong. Lots of the skin care stuff is just disgusting. Not to mention wrong.
I remember years ago while living in Texas, a friend swore by a product until she found out that fetuses were an ingredient in her anti wrinkle cream......Some times thing are just really hard to believe BUT...In this day in age I think people would do just about any thing for money......This is so very wrong....
If they just started selling the fat sucked out form liposuction like in Fight Club this wouldn't happen. Not that I would buy the products, that's just creepy. I wish we could get a list of the companies that buy this fat.
