Has anyone been following the Amanda Knox trial
This story tends to be in our local news on a daily basis because Amanda Knox is originally from the Seattle area.
Anyway, the gist of the story is that she is a college girl that was studying abroad in Italy. Her roommate was murdered and Amanda Knox and her boyfriend are on trial accused of murdering the roommate.
Well the trial wrapped up with final statements over the weekend. The prosecution is asking for a life sentence and mandatory solitary confinement for the defendants.
During their closing remarks the prosecution was allowed to show a dramatization/reactment video of the crime as they see it being committed.

So the question is, if you have been following it do you think she is guilty? If you haven't been following it, what do you think of courts that would allow a dramatized video to be shown as 'evidence' to the jury?
OMG !!! I think she is innocent !!! Those moronic Italian police !!!! Ahhhh i don't get any updates anymore on my news so please let me know what they decide !
I actually watched something about this last night. Apparently, the prosecutor of this case is currently charged with abuse of power. It is alleged (according to what I watched) that he makes the evidence fit his idea of what happened in a case, even if he has to fraudulent evidence to make it corroborate. From what I understand, the murderer of the English girl has already been captured and tried. He was a drifter and he was on drugs. The American claims she didn't know him and was not home at the time of the crime. Apparently, though, two weeks after the murders the prosecutor proclaimed he has solved the case, but when the forensics didn't add up, he had to concoct a story in order to make the evidence support his theory to save face. I think that she is innocent, and that the evidence does not support the charges. However, I am also of the understanding that public opinion matters the most in Italy, and that she will likely be found guilty anyway.
So the question is, if you have been following it do you think she is guilty? NO!!! If you haven't been following it, what do you think of courts that would allow a dramatized video to be shown as 'evidence' to the jury? The Italian police are morons. I feel so bad for her. What a nightmare. She might be doomed, though. Justice in Italy is a joke. Hope her parents are right.
I think the guy that was ALREADY convicted is the killer and AK probably had nothing to do with it.
I've been watching this and I think it is a travesty. There is apparently NO evidence - DNA; hair; fingerprints, etc. that place her in the room where the murder was committed. I really hope this poor girl gets home safe and sound.

From another post I read and information that was shared the burden of proof is even higher in Italy than here in the states. Granted I don't think there is a judge out there that would allow the prosecution to show a dramatize reenactment to the jury. If they did The Lifetime Channel would have a whole new market.
