Anyone read Dan Brown's Lost Symbol yet? I thought it was great if a little too packed with information not necessary to the plot. I am wondering what others think about the books claims about the hidden meanings in religious texts as well as the field of Noetic Science.

I have not read that book but I think that people seldom come right out and say what they mean so there could be a lot of hidden meaning in many texts.

I liked both Angels and Demons, and The Davinci Code. To my knowledge the symbolism was explained well and there seems to be a lot of truth in both books, however these truths are fictionalized and embellished so he can suck us into his tale. I
Dan Brown is a fictional writer that picks really fascinating subjects around which to spin his tales I think.
