Anyone read Dan Brown's Lost Symbol yet? I thought it was great if a little too packed with information not necessary to the plot. I am wondering what others think about the books claims about the hidden meanings in religious texts as well as the field of Noetic Science.

Rise up this morning, smile at the rising sun; Three little birds, pitch by my doorstep; Singing sweet songs, a melody pure and true; Singing, this is my message to you-ou-ou; Singing Don't worry, about a thing; Cause every little thing is gonna be alright.

I have not read that book but I think that people seldom come right out and say what they mean so there could be a lot of hidden meaning in many texts.

I have it in my to read stack :)

I liked both Angels and Demons, and The Davinci Code.  To my knowledge the symbolism was explained well and there seems to be a lot of truth in both books, however these truths are fictionalized and embellished so he can suck us into his tale.  I

Dan Brown is a fictional writer that picks really fascinating subjects around which to spin his tales I think.
