What are you doing to get ready for Christmas !

How are you preparing yourself for Christmas ?  Are you finished with your Christmas shopping and preparing your heart to really celebrate ?  Do you like the hustle and bustle of the Christmas sales happening ?  Do you like the last minute shopping ?

I'll start it I guess

We are beginning to decorate today !  I've pulled some of the decorations, cards, etc out of the closet.  Later today I'll get the rest from the storage container.

I'm usually done with Christmas shopping by the end of October due  to I hate the hustle and bustle , especially after Thanksgiving.  The rest of the gifts I'm going to try and make.

I like to stay home more after Thanksgiving so I can truly appreciate the Christmas Season and not get in a nasty mood by waiting in long lines.  I enjoy sitting in the dark with the Christmas lights, listening to Christmas music playing softly in the background and meditating on the Christ child being born.

Then as it get's closer to Christmas, I start the baking.  That's when things get a little hectic unfortunately.  But I especially like it after it gets dark and I'm winding down.

Still have to get astuff for stocking, set up the tree and decorate. The kids are going to be buying for each other this year, so we have to do that too.

Normally I would have the tree up by today and be decorating outside and have shopped til I dropped this morning but none of that has occurred yet. It will all get taken care of so I am not worried. I refuse to panic for this holiday.

I'd like to be finished with all my Christmas shopping, but I will be doing last minute shopping and shopping online.

We usually begin decorating the 2nd weekend of December.
