It's my goal to get the tree up and decorated by the end of the day. I'm also hoping the weather holds so we can put up Christmas lights outside.
Who else is decorating today? If you want post pictures of the 'after'. :)
I'll be back with some when/if I finish!

I put my lights up about 3 weeks ago when the weather was lovely outside. Haven't turned them on yet - will do this weekend. Tomorrow am putting the outside and inside decorations up - I just love the house when it's all Christmassed up!
A society which emphasizes uniformity is one which creates intolerance and hate. - Pierre E. Trudeau
I normally decorate the day after T-Day but this year I am doing a whole new theme.... we bought a new house last winter and it's a log cabin house.... all my stuff is uber-modern so I need to star from scratch with old fashioned stuff... and I can't get into the city (80 miles away) to target, michaels, etc..... until tomorrow... so I will decorate on Sunday.
Edited to add - I am also doing only fresh greens this year. I ordered garlands and wreaths from the florist and we will do a live tree as well... we will get that next weekend
Even for the outside lights, I didn't use any icicles and all the bright pinks and blues and purples.... I bought the old fashioned big bulbs I remember from my childhood and lines the house with those and then did simple white lights around the 700 feet of hitchrail fence in the front yard.

Not me.
I used to decorate on my birthday which is next week, but these days with the grandkids and their excitement I think I will hold off a while.
I swear we had insomniacs from the time we put up the tree last yr.
If I didn't have to work today they'd have gone up today but they'll go up tomorrow. I just got done putting up the office tree at work and it's lovely
Normally today is the day I would decorate but just haven't gotten to it.

We're bringing DS to the grandparent's tonight, so tomorrow we can clean some of the clutter from the attic and bring down our holiday decorations. I'm so excited because this is the first time in 5 years that we'll be decorating. We're usually not at home for the holidays, but we're doing it all for DS.
I am hoping to get it done today, but my hubby throw away my blue lights so know we got to run into town to buy some more. Ugh I want to just crown him for htis. lol I didn't want to go out today with it being black friday, so i am waiting utnil about noon and hopefully it will slow down. Maybe ppl went to another town we only have kmart not much there. lol
Not me but my daughter is. She had her dad pull down all the stuff last night and today, after work, she and her boyfriend are going to decorate. It's not a 'chore' I've given her, she just likes to do it.
There are people in my neighborhood who have had theirs up for two weeks now!
