I am tolerant & respectful of all people & I expect the same courtesy.
For those who accept abortion as a right to choose, would you change your mind if science proved life does exist in a fetus? If there was absolute proof that abortion was killing a baby would it change your stand?
It is a divisive subject & while I do not accept abortion as ok, I do not judge or look down on those who feel differently. There is no more emotional, life changing topic than this one. Politics has fueled hatred & intolerance rather than compassion. Society has polarized us to a point of civil war. Remember, none of us will agree in every subject of life, but we can work toward changes without being vile.
I would not change my stand on abortion. In my case, I was a child, raped, made pregnant. I did what I had to do to keep myself surviving emotionally. Due to this I am not tolerant and respectful of all people.

We already know life exists in a fetus, and we know an abortion stops this. And I'm still pro choice.

I'm pro-choice. It's your body, u should be able to do whatever u want with it. If I became pregnant right now, I'd get an abortion, even if there was scientific proof it was alive. I'd rather get an abortion then raise another child while getting help from the government, which I currently am. And there's no way I could carry the baby to term in hopes of giving it away and not get attached.
I am pro-life 10000%. It is a fact .... life does exist in a fetus. Hold one in your palm of your hand for a few minutes, miscarried or otherwise. You will see a baby fighting to live.
My mind and heart will never waver on this ... but this is my stance. It is personal and in no way represents the majority. We only need look around us to see how true this is.
Everyone has a right to their opinion. I don't agree with them, but have held many babies in my arms and hands. Many did not survive earlier on in gestation, but believe me, they were alive.
So, NO I don't need to change my mind.
A fetus is alive and I'm still pro-choice. While I can't imagine the circumstances under which I'd personally have an abortion, I don't presume to force my morals or my will on another woman, especially where I haven't been in her shoes or her life and know her heart.
No, I would still support a woman's right to make private choices for herself and her body. Being Pro choice means a great deal more than supporting a woman's right to an abortion. It means you support her right to access all options, including adoption as well as supporting her right to have access to assistance so she can keep the baby if that is her choice.
Once you give the government the right to dictate these decisions it's a small step to the government having the right to dictate that abortion is necessary for population control. I wouldn't support this happening any more than I would support someone taking away a woman's right to choose now.
