Hot Topic (1/26): Will Obama be a one-term president?
Obama Tells Diane Sawyer That Health Care Bill Had Political Cost
President Obama, buffeted by criticism of his massive health care reform bill and election setbacks, said today he remained determined to tackle health care and other big problems despite the political dangers to his presidency.
"I'd rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president," he told ABC's "World News" anchor Diane Sawyer in an exclusive interview today.
Obama sat down with Sawyer two days before he will deliver a State of the Union speech to a joint session of Congress, and he acknowledged the political setbacks of his first year in office.
The State of the Union will be Obama's chance to jump start his agenda, but he ducked when Sawyer asked if he could guarantee there would not be a tax increase for anyone making less than $250,000.
"I can guarantee that the worst thing we could do would be to raise taxes when the economy is still this weak," he replied.

I dont think he had a chance at becoming a two term president in the first place. There was and still is way too much rabid anti-Obama sentiment and the way things are going its just gotten worse not better. The crazies are getting crazier and they seem to be hyping the more sane people into joining in the craziness.
Tonight is the State of the Union address. Will you watch it?
No. I won't be home.
How do you feel about Obama's presidency so far?
Still waiting for his campaign to end and his presidency to start
Did you vote for him? Would you vote for him again or is one term enough?
didn't vote for him. I was going to but I was so disgusted with his supporters that I couldn't bring myself to vote for him.

I pay attention to politics. I will probably either watch the SoU address or read the transcript online. I think Obama has had a lot of shit to deal with and it hasn't been easy. I haven't agreed with every decision he has made but I still feel like he was the right choice for my vote. I don't know if I would vote for Obama for a second term, it depends on where we are at that time and who is running against him.
Tonight is the State of the Union address. Will you watch it? I might, just out of curiosity
How do you feel about Obama's presidency so far? Not too impressed, I don't agree with many of his policies.
Did you vote for him? NO - I am inelligable to vote. Would you vote for him again or is one term enough? IMO think one term is enough and if I could vote, it would not be for him. With that said, if Sarah Palin runs, he may just be elected for term 2, LOL

Wrong wrong, every assums Obama isnt doing anything or doing things nobody wants him to and guess what we will see his actions of whatever he does most likely in the 2nd term, a president can not come in and just use magic to make things work, it takes time. No matter what side you are on, you wont see any real changes until his 2nd, it's just the way things are. I hope that he is a full term president, I think he has the people in his best interests I really do.
Tonight is the State of the Union address. Will you watch it? Yes, I can't avoid watching train wrecks. (actually I thought it was Wed. though?)
How do you feel about Obama's presidency so far? Egotistical, one-sided, and lied to.
Did you vote for him?NO Would you vote for him again or is one term enough? One YEAR has been enough. For 1 thing, it's about time people stop blaming Bush. Bush sucked, but Obama has shown in 1 year that he is worse. God only knows what this country will look like in 2012.

Shoot! I forgot about that! Maybe that can be Obama's next campaign title. Instead of 'Change" it can be "Vote for me and I will save you from the Mayan death curse!"
