Its not a hot topic but I was wondering how many people are going out for Valentines day.Ever since I met my dh 6 1/2 years ago we have never got to spend a Valentines together.
I made the mistake of entering my first doomed marriage on Valentines day. It took my current hubby, who I have been with nearly 23 yrs, married almost 18 of them, a very long time to acknowledge Valentines Day.
Nowadays I will get a small bouquet or some candy and he will get a meal catered to his likes. Nothing real formal just nice.
We most likely won't do anything because we just got back from Disneyland with the kids. However our 14 year anniversary is tomorrow and he has to work so maybe he will surprise me by taking me out somewhere.
Quoting Malapertinent:We have kids in and out for the weekend (blended family) and traveling to exchange them.
Sunday evening will be quiet and kid free so I have something up my sleeve.
Not a surprise. That's your normal state. Why do you think I round around the room like a chicken with it's head cut off?

LOL Jennie

Honestly since we've been married (in 2004) my husband has been deployed for 4 of the 5 Valentine's Days... LOL so I usually get a bouquet in the mail and he always gets me a Teddy Bear (the one with the year on the foot). But he is home this year!!!! He actually already got me my teddy bear for this year, it is on the back of the couch as I type... other than that I usually get flowers and I will make a nice dinner and dessert this year. :)
men have there own valentines day its on march 14th... steak and blow job day.
