Is there a reason there needs to be an Ad for herpes on Nickelodeon? I mean I know kids are active a lot earlier, but come on now!!! The Ad came on during and episode of ICarly.

 Thoughts?

Well iCarly is aimed at 13-17 year olds so.....

I dunno how I feel about it but I can logically see why they aired it.

I don't know why I thought ICarly was a show for pre-teens. Hmmm. Still 12/13 is very young. I just find it shocking and more than a bit sad that "someone" feels that a herpes ad is warranted during a Nickelodeon show. Granted my children are 5 and 3 and mostly watch only daytime shows.

So, you see this as a good "opening" for a parent to talk to their pre-teen/teen about sex and diseases? Or are you saying at least they will see/hear it somewhere if mom and dad are dropping the ball?

Both...It would depend on the parents in that home.... I was lucky enough my Mom was very open and talked about everything, as I do with my girls. But some parents either dont know how, dont care, or dont know where to start.
