Hi I am mom to 1 11 yr old son . I just graduated BSN and am studying for my boards. I am from NYC originally (Bronx & Queens). I appreciate good laughs, pet lovers, book readers (i haven't read other than text, in a while). I think that there are a lot of reasons to be happy with the world and a lot we could find fault with. I am on a quest to cultivate my garden of good will.
Hi! I am new here and just want to introduce myself. I am a mother of 4 and grandma of 7, married and a stay at home wife. Love it!!!!!! I love to study the Word of God and write Bible Studies, poetry, novels, short stories. I love gardening, spending time by the pool with hubby, raquetball, badmitton, fishing, camping. We are pretty much homebodies and love it. I dont see my kids or grandkids near enough and hope that will change. Life is way too busy these days and no one has time to just be still. It is good to be here and hope to make new friends on here who are looking as well......
Hi all,
I am new to both CM and Hot topics, my first chat room ever too. I am mom to 2 boys, 14 and 15... freshman and sophomores next year - yikes, both in high school. I am also sub-mom to 6 little tykes daily as I run my own daycare/preschool during the school year, in my 13th year of business. Love my job but miss communicating with adults. Now that my own boys are getting so busy with year round football training and need my time less... I'm looking to re-connect with the world before my nest empty's to college in a few years. Love my boys and husband so much but feels like I've put ALL OF ME into caring for them all these years... time to get started for me again :) I look forward to joining your group and keeping up on current topics with other great woman around the country. I'm from the Northwest, USA.
Howdy! My name is Trish and I just turned 50 last October (but I'm really 20 LOL!) and I have to grown sons and I am a "Nana" to 4 grandsons and 2 grand-daughters. God knew what he was doing by blessing me with boys! I so wanted a daughter but I couldn't have afforded all of those beautiful clothes back then so, I was blessed with 2 grand-daughter's just when we could afford all of those goodies Nana & Papaw's buy for them. Not to say my grandson's hurt for anything :)
Nice to meet everyone!
Hi, I feel strongly, America needs to support America. So many families come here for the freedom to just be free! We take that freedom for granted when we decide lately we can make laws and rules that go against that freedom to make choices for ourselves and our families. It is not for the "few" to make decisions for the many. Sure, we can advise, put out warnings or speak against what someone else says preferably with facts that can be looked up or supported but to tell others they must follow our own decisions or point of view or be fined or worse imprisoned beyond the common rule of do not steal etc. our country is becoming more and more like the countries who are running out of money by "giving" everything away until there is nothing left to "give" because there are more give aways than collection and the more we collet the less eventually there will be available for anyone....so America was based on working hard, earning our own money, being able to be a business owner who would then EMPLOY others so eveyone has money...and our freedom whether slavery, the right to not be taxed by England or the freedom to speak has been supported by lives. People who were proud of our country, and the right to be free to be happy, speak and even make money so we can freely decide to give it away and to who. Our country is based on freedom, support, and being PROUD of who we are and how hard it was to found this country and to truly be fair by allowing people to make free choices. I am proud to be an American. I am scared of where America is heading. I admit I am not native to this country and know people who have come to this country so their children can have a chance to become something. My worry is...we will soon be no different than other countries where people are so unhappy....they had the ability to dream of becoming American. Now we fight over should our children be proud to be American in school? America represented freedom, the ability to dream and reach for the stars and be successful based on hard work and acceptance of each other and our differences and to support them. Help, save this country. Believe in each other that together each of us make a better country and better life not by forcing others to be like us but to allow others to think and decide and know what is best in their own lives...to be free to be American...proud to be American. Most of us come from somewhere else...unless you are American Indian like part of my son's heritage. All of us want better lives.....don't we? but not built on the backs of others but by our own volition and efforts.
