I don't get it....doesn't sound too Christian to me.
I don't get it either...it's actually a little creepy...
It's from a passage regarding John the baptist. Basically the daughter of Herodias (I believe Herodias was herods sister in law...but he was "with her" and john said it was unlawful to be so. So basically he insulted herodias and she wasn't rea happy about it) danced at his birthday. In truth, doing it just to seduce him so her mother could get back at John. Herod loved it so much he offered the girl anything she wanted, and so she demanded the head of John the baptist on a platter. Herod, having made the oath, had to follow through. He had John the baptist beheaded, and his head served on the platter. The daughter passed it to her mother....keep in mind i may be off on somethings this is from bible class in sixth grade lol. Now, how this relates to Obama... I'm just guessing here, but here is my idea. Obama is the daughter of Herodias. He seduced America so much, that we gave me what he wanted. In turn, he wishes to destroy the US people "decapitating" them by giving us more debt. I know it's a stretch, but ti's probably some birther/anti christ nonsense. It could also be a call to have him executed. Subtle, for few would really stop and research the sticker. OR they'd just assume it was silly. EIther way, it sounds ridiculous.
No idea, although reading the previous reply was interesting/scary.
PS I'm christian and have never even heard of this sticker in regards to obama before.
I googled Matthew 14 11 & this is what came upHis head was brought in on a platter and given to the girl, who carried it to her mother. What were these people trying to say??? I just looked at them at with one of these Oh - it was on the back of a SUV. Middle-aged couple. And can someone explain to me how someone can use verses in the bible to mean harm to the President of the United States?
I don't get it either..
I think it's very simple: The people who have the bumper sticker want Obama's head on a platter. Period.
I'm white, middle class, and I find that bumper sticker abhorrent.
