OK, so when you get sick.....do you have a cold of the flu?

I say I have a cold if I'm sick but not puking.

I say I have the flu when I'm puking.

Welllllllll I guess I'm wrong lol. most things are "the flu" that I used to say was just a cold.

So what do you say?

LOL - it depends on the actual virus that's infecting you.

I say it depends on the doctor you go too. I swear I can visit 5 doctors and get 5 different diagnosis and 5 different medications.

I tend to stay away from doctors and tough it out.

Chicken soup, Hot tea, 7-up, saltines and OJ normally cure all my bugs :-)

LOL so wait....am I the only one that says it's a cold UNLESS I'm puking?

like if I have a runny nose, even a slight fever, coughing....I say it's a cold.

It's the flu if something that was in my belly comes up or if I have dry heaves.... or feel like I'm going to abumchuck.

I'm like you...if there's no stomach pain and/or puking and/or diarrhea..then it's just a cold.

If I have a fever and digestive issues, I say stomoch bug. If I'm coughing and stuffy nose, I say cold. If I have a high fever, body aches and can barely lift my head, I say flu.

I'd say its a cold usually. But I can't remember the last time I was sick. Working in the ER has given me an immune system of steel! lol

When I am puking I say food poisoning or stomach virus, but never flu or cold.

I say cold until it gets into the lungs, like bronchitis...

It's wrong on one point, you can prevent a cold.
