UK Doctors Say Women Should Be Told Abortion Is Safer Than Childbirth

Britain's Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists has issued guidelines saying women seeking abortions "should be advised that abortion is generally safer than continuing a pregnancy to term." The guidelines also recommend telling them that most women who get abortions don't suffer mental health problems. Anti-choice activists call this an "absurdly liberal agenda," but given all the people trying to convince women that abortion will ruin their bodies and minds, it might be a necessary corrective.

I'm sure it's true.

Removing a "blob of tissue" is a lot easier that pushing out a baby.

It's too difficult-- let's all not do it ever again.

I am 100% for informed consent.  In all cases.  If they have the data confirming that abortion is generally safer than carrying to term, it IS something that should be told to a patient trying to make a decision.  It is not liberal agenda, it is honesty.
