(You guys may have discussed these points already. I'm still new to the group so if this has already been posted and discussed, you'll have to forgive me. )
Homosexuality isn't just a learned human behaviour. Recently I found an interesting article about instances of it in the animal kingdom.

Here is an article that says hormone levels are responsible for people that are born homosexual (as opposed to others who have chosen the lifestyle.)
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/608455

So in reading theses studies, are Christians to conclude that a) homosexuality is acceptable because God made these people the way He wanted them or b) homosexuality is bad and God made a mistake?
I'm not a homosexual, so I could only speculate. And that's never a good idea.
I'm not the type of Christian that presumes to know Gods plan nor the need to judge others for their sexuality. The fact that same sex couples are found in nearly every species known to man seems to indicate that it's not an uncommon OR unnatural occurence. I have always believed it is a chemical/hormonal issue that occurs naturally for many.
How about C) I don't know, don't care 'why' someone is gay. I don't need an explaination because there is nothing wrong with being gay.
Why do we have to have a 'reason' for it? Do we really need to explain 'why' someone is attracted to red hair? big lips? a large chest? a nice rump? ... so why the need for an explanation as to why some one is attracted to the same sex?

You're right and I agree, but started this post as basis for conversation for 'why' people feel obligated to ostracize others based their beliefs.
Just curious but when does creation attributed to God start? In the womb? If so then are woman who chose abortion doing so because God made a mistake? I'd be interested to see how consistent views are on the born this way thinking.
In response to the OP's question acknowledging God made a person with homosexual tendencies does not show that God approves of a person leading a homosexual lifestyle.

So God would intentionally make someone homosexual and then condemn them for life if they choose to act on their base urges? They have to live a lie their whole lives in order to please him?

Who said anything about God condemning anyone?

Homosexuality is supposed to be a sin, is it not?
