This is the real Penn State.

This is what Penn State is about.

Not what is going on with the scandal and etc.

Maybe this is a better picture.

And if not, oh well.

But, the students, families, and teachers, stand for 46 hours.

Some ask why they would stand for 46 hours, just for a cancer patient, they do it because they want to find a cure, they don't want innocent children to suffer from this diease.

Some of you are saying other schools do things, but I don't ever see any other colleges doing things for children dying, sure they raise money, but do they stand out in the freezing cold asking strangers to donate,  and then take time out of their weekends to stand for a child, who is only 2 and has no idea what is going on?And raise 9.3 million dollars? Don't think so.

You can tell me I need dto let it go, but this isn't about everything going on in the news, this is to bring awareness for childhood cancer.

Quoting jllcali:

Looks like a UFO.

No not really.

It looks like a bunch of students gathering to stand for 46 hours straight, no sitting. Unless you need to go to the medic, or to the bathroom. No shower, no changing shoes.

To raise money for childhood cancer. Raising over 9.0 million dollars last year at the event.

What's your favorite college do?

As does Penn State.

But they also help raise money for childhood cancer, but you don't care about the GOOD. This takes care of a child's medical bills so the parents don't have to worry about it. It saves lives.

This school also allows its employees to rape little boys while members at the very top turned a blind eye. Do the Penn state students do good things? Yes, but it does excuse the fact that for years maybe a decade they allowed a known child molester roam free in their halls. It doesn't excuse the fact that they were told his man was having sex with 10 year old boys & didn't fire him.

They didn't fire him, because he had retired before anything came out. He did it on purpose, so he would still get his benefits.

And where did I EVER say that it excuses them.

I didn't, but people need to realize, that theres more to this college, then that. And this would be it, and it's not just the students, the employees as well, doctors, families, strangers and etc.

And they didn't allow him to roam free in the halls, he was part of the football team, and he was banned from the locker room and etc back in 98 when this came out the first time.

I have no idea what a Four Diamonds kid is.

I do have an idea of what an obsession is.  You really need to get a grip.  Whatever do you think you're doing bringing this here over and over?  We're a news and discussion group, not a guilt absolution for Penn State group.

Oy.
