With Obama & his "BIRTH CONTROL CRUSADE" As I have heard it referred to in some places, I thought I would ask/poll.

How many of the women here are on BC?

ETA:::: Either pills, IUD, implants, nuvaring....whatever. A birth control that you have to get from a doctor, not condoms, spermicide, NFP or whathave you.

We took steps to permanently prevent pregnancy.  According to some my marriage should now be voided since we can no longer procreate.  ;)

As for the question, I have never responded well to hormonal birth control pills and can no longer take them because of my age and heart problems I developed from my last pregnancy.

I was on depo 11 years ago.

I had a paragard IUD because I was breastfeeding at the time and didn't want to give my child hormones.....but it became embedded so I had it removed last august.

BC as in hormonal birth control, or as in any type of birth control at all?  If the former, never, lab hormones scare me.  If the later, I used NFP plus barrier after my daughter was born . . . . . . and found the one significant weakness in NFP, LOL.  Not using right now because I'm pregnant thanks to the weakness in that system.  After this one is born, going for a paraguard.  My body can't deal with anymore oops pregnancies right now!

Which IUD do you have?

Mirena or Paragard?

I miss my paragard but they told me it's not wise to get it again since I had problems last time.

1 mom liked this

Tubes tied after the last one.. I am sooooooooooo done.  Children 21years old to 11 months,  beyond done!!  :)

What does this have to do with forcing a Catholic institution to pay for birth control?  They shouldn't have to pay for something they are opposed to. That doesn't mean that people who work for them can't pay for whatever birth control method they choose.

I had my tubes tied previous to a full hysterectomy.

I was on birth control from age 14 until my hysterectomy at 25.  The majority of that time I was on it for health reasons that ended up causing the need for the hysterectomy.

I'm on permanent birth control- got my tubes tied during a required sugery on my ovary last October.  In the past, I've been on several brands of combination pill, the minipill, and have used condoms, a diaphragm, and natural family planning.
