Do you think Sandusky should be able to see his 11 grandchildren?

(CNN) -- The former Penn State assistant football coach currently awaiting trial on child sex assault charges can visit with some of his grandchildren, a judge ruled Monday.

The decision by Judge John Cleland eases some conditions of Jerry Sandusky's house arrest, which had forbidden contact with his 11 grandchildren.

Joe Amendola, Sandusky's attorney, said the former assistant coach and his family are happy about the ruling.

"Jerry, Dottie, and their entire family are very relieved by and pleased with the court's decision," Amendola said in a written statement.

Sandusky will be allowed to visit with eight of his grandchildren under parental supervision, Cleland ruled.

But another judge in a custody case involving the other three grandchildren should decide whether Sandusky can visit with them, Cleland ruled. The mother of those children has strongly objected to them having contact with Sandusky.

State Attorney General Linda Kelly had blasted Sandusky's request to see his grandchildren, saying in a motion earlier this month that Sandusky was fortunate to be granted house arrest when "he is alleged to have committed 52 sexual offenses."

Yes, he hasn't be convicted and in this country your innocent until proven guilty.

BUT I think there should be stipulations like never being alone with them.

I think it should be up to the childrens parents, if either parent doesn't want him near them he shouldn't be allowed near them. Seems reasonable enough to me.

Pedophiles can't be rehabilitiated.    And since no one else is stupid enough to let him near their children, his grandkids would likely be his only option.

If the parents are watching the whole time and are open to the visits then I don't see the court needing to prevent it.  Of course, it's up to the parents and we may feel differently.

 I am disgusted at the thought that he would be with any children.

As a mother, I can't understand his children allowing him to be with his grandchildren.  If my father was arrested for the crimes that Sandusky has been accused of, with the amount of evidence they have including eye witnesses, it would be a cold day in hell before he would come near them.

I also am a little sickened by Amendola's saying how "pleased" Jerry and Dottie are.  The last thing I care about is Jerry and Dottie's pleasure.

 I am really surprised it is even an issue.  Do his children want him near his grandchildren? Legally, I guess he has a right. But, there is no way in hell I would let him near my kids.

Honestly? If Jerry Sandusky were my dad, I wouldn't let him within 10 feet of my kid. Though she'd probably be safe, as he's apparently just into little boys...

if he wants to see the kids give his peverted ass a picture, watch what he does and then take the picture and tell him keep that thought in your head you sicko cause thats as close as your getting to any children.  Don't forget the KY your gonna need it.
