Medicaide and PA moms how tired and frustrated are you of seeing all the holier than thow/we're better than you posts everyone is making about what we should or shouldn't be doing or having?  I have worked my arse off my entire life for everything I have yet still can't afford health insurance so when I got pregnant I went on medicaide now when I log on here all I see every day is venom spitting, Iphone coventing, manicured busy bodies posting about how PA and other assistance moms shouldn't do or have this or that due to tax dollars spent on the assistance. well I got news for them we pay taxes, we pay into SS and contribute just as much to society as anyone else and we don't witch about it.

Don't like the posts, don't read them. Problem solved. If you're secure with your decision, then what others say shouldn't bother you.

BTW, it doesn't help your little soapbox speech to say, "When I got pregnant, I went on medicaid". Responsible people make sure they have insurance before they get pregnant. So maybe people see stuff like this, and think about in what other areas you may be irresponsible.

When you see the posts that you're complaining about, it's usually because the poster knows someone who is in the system because they are irresponsible, and their decisions show it over and over.

It's not an issue of not like them, then don't read them.

It's an issue of being disgusted and saddened by people who think they are above others and look down on others.

I am not on Medicaid or PA-And I agree with the Original Poster.

So these people form their views about Medicaid and PA based on someone they know that is irresponsible and then form their view on the entirety of the group based on that?

You do realize that is how racism and prejudice start, right?

If they enforced bank regulations like they do park rules, we wouldn't be in this mess

Who are you to imply that she is irresponsible for not having ins before she got pregnant?

Thank you for being able to say that a lot more nicely than I could.

These uppity, anti-PA ladies need to stop crying about it, come down off their crosses, use the wood to build a bridge, and get over it.

Has something happened to you recently to cause your post/forum bitch-ery? IMO many of your responses are oozing with vitriol and OVER-THE-TOP-MATTER-OF-FACT opinions. blech

Dh and I WERE being responsible.  Not my fault that no one (at the time) was aware at how IBS can render oral BC useless.

We were only two months away from DH gettinginsurance fortunately.  We were far from irresponsible, I just happened to have an illness that no one knew caused problems with BC.

And then some of us on the good side see people who did everything right and still ended up needing some assistance.  If you are forming your opinions based on anecdotes of a few bad apples, you're forming them out of ignorance.  The OP is right.
