Some Cops Arrest Who they Want When They Want-No reasons needed.
This guy (Carlos Miller) gets arrested at the very end of the video. It is clear he was not doing anything wrong. The rest of the Officers ignored him and were fine with him being there.
It was the Officer at the end who decides to arrest him (Nothing changed). And the kicker? They deleted this footage from his camera. He had to use software to recover the deleted file. Shameful. With this footage back I am sure he will win his case (He was charged with resisting arrest).
This guy (Jerry Nelson) a photo journalist is arrested here. He is told he is being arrested for Assualt (He is never charged with Assault). He is released after 48 hours with no charges put against him. The guy at the end of this video that gets attacked by the police is trying to give them Jerry's keys.
And now apparently if you try to film them they will threaten to arrest you with "Loitering".
If they enforced bank regulations like they do park rules, we wouldn't be in this mess
This guy ask the Officers, "Is this okay?" Then goes on recording. The officers on the other side must not have agreed with the other Officers and shoots this guy.
Quoting FromAtoZ:Your title should say something along the lines of....'Some Cops............'
I agree.
Fixed.

I'm not disagreeing that some police officers do seem to do what they want. However, with out any one of us being in the situation(or at the situation) we should never judge. I come from a family of police officers,(and being a paramedic myself) tensions run high as does adrenaline. I'm not excusing it. I'm just trying to put a different perspective in. We as the public only get shown what the media wants to show us, we rarely if ever get the full story on anything.

In the first Video it is pretty clear the guy was not doing anything he was not suppose to do. It is pretty clear he is not resisting arrest.
The officer deleted the footage. What kind of tension makes someone think, "I better delete the footage so there is no evidence to support his case?"
Or in the second video the Officer says, "You are being arrested for assault" and the guy is held for 48 hours then released with no charges.
If under stress/tension your reaction is to lie, abuse, or manipulate you should not be a Police Officer. All you will do is give other Police Officers a bad name.

Clearly in the first video, they were dealing with some type of mass violence issue, I am sure ppl were told and asked not to be present, and as the officers were concentrating on their job, he was more than likely over looked, when the female officer saw him,she clearly said, no sir, u were told not to.. etc..I never saw video erased, just shut off. There is a difference,& at that point there wasn't much going on other than the police trying to make their stand, more than likely he was taken in to custody for his safety and so that he would stay out of their way. I didn't watch the rest, I also dislike video's where "cops" get blamed for things "security guards" do but get called cops. I also said, I agreed, few(not all) few do have the complex they can do as they please. These cases are rare therefore put in the news to make all police officers look bad. Still as I said, unless ur ever in that situation, you really have no idea. (knock on a door for a call for someone threatening suicide and hear a bang) tell me u don't duck and cover! Or Standing in the snow with no winter jacket, trying to talk to someone because they are having mental issues in a cemetary, and are affraid of police and our paramedic jackets look like police jackets,I could go on and on.. No one can judge, unless they are there. Again, I'm agreeing select few police do try to take the law in their own hands, and that's what make it hard for the good guys.

It really seems like you are grasping at straws there. He was walking around for 4 minutes video taping all of them. There was a camera man a few feet from the first line of police and they just pass by him.
It is pretty clear by that-That these police did not care about him being there. Then they all disbursed from their formation. And some stray officer kind of arbitrary arrested him.
If your view is the correct one-Why delete the footage he took? They did delete the footage. He first bought software that helped him retrieve it, then someone else gave him software (It was free open-ware) that was able to retrieve the whole video). Which is where this video came from (This one is the one that is deleted so of coursed it could not record the person deleting it after he was arrested).
And they charged him with Resisting arrest-And deleted that footage (Most likely because it does not show him resisting arrest).
And again. If your reaction to tension is to lie, abuse, or manipulate then you should not be a Police Officer since their job is to Enforce the Law. Not lie about it, abuse the people they come in contact with, or delete evidence or plant it.

Try getting your news somewhere other than youtube.
I would love to. If only News did not lie and say things like, "They all just need jobs and to take showers".
And ignore everything else. My only source of News are from the people down there filming and recording. And as you can see the Police are now doing anything they can to arrest them or intimidate them.

whatever.
