Would a Black Republican receive 96% of the Black vote?

Is it race/"color" or is it political party where the loyalty is held?

ETA: Adding a hypothetical example ...

Hillary Clinton vs. Michael Steele for President.

For anyone to claim that AA's will vote for a candidate simple because of their race is just as horrible as that newsweek reporter that claimed that everyone who did not vote for Obama was either racist or an idiot.

Other. I can't possibly know who a person of color would choose to vote for unless I know him/her personally. I have plenty of friends who are black that are steadfast republicans.

I doubt it.  I think black people would tend to vote democrat.  But I'm sure it would depend on the democrat the republican was running against.

At the risk of being lambasted, I will say that I believe that the vast majority of black people would vote for a black democrat over a white democrat solely based on race, barring any really really bad scandal.

DC Mayor Marion Barry was caught on camera smoking a crack pipe and he still got re-elected....

I don't know all Black people in America, however, looking at voting trends I would say the Democrat will win the Black vote  - hands down regardless of color.

Really hard to say.  I think generally, black people tend to not vote Republican, even though there are plenty of black conservatives, because the Republicans have alienated them with their rhetoric about "welfare mothers" and assumptions about "minorities."  I'm sure even a very conservative black person would have a lot of trouble swallowing some of the crap some conservatives say.

I had to vote other!

Your second part isn't part of the original question, I'm asking about Democrat vs. Republican for a specific purpose. I think HIllary would have done much better w/the black vote if she didn't decide to put on the Aunt Jemima act when addressing the black community in South Carolina. That was so ridiculous and offensive it was almost funny.

I don't think black people are any more likely to vote different due to race than any other group of people.

I can see people as being more likely to go out and vote if there is a candidate they believe in than if they feel their vote would be the lesser of two (or more) evils.
