Republicans Pass Bill Forcing Vaginal Probes

That's right, the same people who say government has no business forcing people to buy health insurance, the same people who think a woman's boss should have the final say in her health care, have passed a bill in Virginia that would force woman seeking an abortion to submit to a trans-vaginal ultrasound.

The Democrats in Virginia tried to add an amendment that would allow for less invasive forms of ultrasound but the Republicans would have none of it. They want the penetration.

Governor Bob McDonell (a contender for the V.P. position) says he will sign the bill when it reaches his desk.

It takes Rachel a couple of minutes to get to the trans-vaginal ultrasound story. First she has to tell us about Republicans trying to ban swearing. I swear.

although I do not agreewith the vaginal ultrasound, I understand the ultrasound in general. It is common in more states recently. I dont see harm. If a woman is sure she wants an abortion, an u/s isnt going to change it. If she was uneducated about her decision, it will only help her to make an informed decision. The vaginal u/s part makes me sick though.

What reason could they have for forcing these types of procedures? Are they going with the thought that an embarrassing procedure will make women less likely to abort? Is that their hope at least? Or maybe, those women who are whores getting abortions will love having something else in there? I really don't get the point. "Not only are we going to traumatize you emotionally but we are going to do it sexually as well and that will finally teach you to keep your legs closed, you dumb broad! Bet she'll say no to The Sex now! Haha, now beer me and get the waitress with the huge knockers to bend over in front of us..."
