 i heard by memorial day or sometime in the summer gas prices could be $5 a gallon. how many businesses do you think would be affected by the price increase?  im thinking this would make things harder for truck drivers eapecially.

would orices on food/merchandice go up since it costs more in fuel to transport them to the stores?

I think nearly all businesses as well as consumers will be affected by the higher prices. Yes, I think food prices and other consumer goods will rise as a result. I guess we will be having a "Staycation" this summer!

Absolutely food prices and businesses will be affected. Thankfully I have a 3-minute commute and DH has a 5-minute commute. We'll still be able to swing our vacation, since once we drive to our destination, we don't really need the car again.

Yes, anything that requires travel to get will be affected, food, clothing, etc.

 same  here. staycation seems like an idea. id like to get to the beach once before that happens. maybe a daytrip to walk the boardwalk and let my ds see the ocean in april (he loves water).
