I am far too pale to use a tanning bed. I am super Irish girl, whiter than paper, covered in freckles :)

I have tanned in a tanning bed, before a hot vacation last Jan ('11).  I don't usually - mostly because I'm too cheap to pay for what I can get for free.  But I wasn't about to go to Mexico all winter pasty white and suffer from a sunburn on the first day.  So we tanned a bit before we went.

I'd much rather have pasty white skin than cancer. Just a personal preference.

Ahh..tanning back in my younger days..slathering my white skin with butter...going to the tanning bed...until I had a basal cell carcinoma removed..I have since had another one removed and now have annual derm visits.

I used to be like that. Danish and Irish here. But, I have gotten so used to hanging on the beach now that I tan pretty easily without burning.

I don't tan because practically every adult in my family has had some sort of skin cancer. Also, I love my pale skin :)

I have never used a tanning bed.  I would just be paying for a sun burn and more freckles... I don't need more freckles.
