Authorities also released a 911 call made by one of the people who found the bodies.
"I can't tell if there's two mannequins or two people burning," the caller says.
Students at Winter Park High early this afternoon said administrators made no announcement about the young men's deaths. Some students left early when they found out what happened.
Bicyclists found the bodies Sunday about 6:40 a.m. just off the trail on the bank of a canal. A blanket and bottles there indicated a possible homeless camp.
The trail, which runs from near Orlando Fashion Square mall east to the Seminole County line, is popular with joggers, walkers, bicyclists and skaters.
Investigators said the killings are related to a fire at a large portable storage unit at Sun Bay apartments, a short distance away on Aloma Avenue. They haven't said how.
Residents of the apartments said they heard several gunshots about 2 a.m. Sunday.
