With Police Officers In General, It Is Probably Not A Good Idea to Argue....................

Whenever A Person is driving a Car Anywhere in the United States or anywhere in the World, that person should be aware of the laws pertaining to driving.

Sometimes people get anygry at the Police for giving them tickets for illegal u turns or for taking a red light or cutting someone else off, or even for speeding.

When doing something like this, which is wrong and against the laws of driving properly; it is probably a good idea not to argue with the Police Officer whom is about to give you a ticket.

This is common sense, but some people still argue with the Police officer and then end up getting points taken off their licenses for illegal driving practices..................or get themselves into other problems with the law.

If we all just do the law & keep it simple and respect the law and what the police officers are trying to do, which is their job, then, sometimes, even when, we make mistakes, like these, we might just get a second chance to redeem ourselves, within this kind of situation.

meh, a very large chunk of the police in Seattle are shady and it's not the tickets people have to fear, it's the excessive force and retaliation that has people on edge.

Wow, I am sorry to hear that; We Need to Pray for that situation to get better; let us get God Involved for the law to be upheld rightfully & for there to be justice in Seattle and in other areas as well with those problems.

I agree with you. I've been pulled over twice. I treated them with respect and admitted I was in the wrong. One let me go. The other still gave me the ticket. I didn't blame him, I blamed myself.

I got pulled over 4 times in 3 days in a neighboring town. The first time I was ticketed. I was speeding. The other three times I wasn't speeding. The second officer checked my license, asked for my insurance and checked the vin number on my car. The 3rd officer did the exact same thing. I asked the third officer if there was a report for a stolen vehicle fitting the description of mine and he said no. I told him that that was the third day in a row that I had been pulled over. When I was on my home I was pulled over, AGAIN by a different officer on the opposite side of town. I lost my mind.

I had my kids with me, I completely broke down. I wasn't speeding. The officer was so freaked out he gave me at least 5 minutes to calm down. He checked my plate and license number to verify that I had been pulled over and he apologized. He also suggested that I make a formal complaint at city hall. I did. I haven't checked into the complaint. It's been at least 3 months since it happened.

Wow hon I am so sorry that you had to go thru that strange situation; most probably they were looking for someone that fit the description of your vehicle and unfortunately you had to receive that from them because they were searching out there.........Thank God you are okay.

Why were you pulled over, though?  I thought they had to have a reason.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Okay.

Like I said, I filed a complaint. I might try to follow up on it today and see what kind of response I get.

I try not to dwell on things because I get aggravated. I just let it go.

I agree with op.  I don't feel sorry for people who get tickets for parking illegally or speeding.  Those people made the choice to park in a handicap spot, or to park in that fire lane, or drive 15-20mph above the posted speed limit.  Its simple. If you violate the rules of the road, be prepared to face the concequences.
