Christianity has no place in forming laws
Many of those who support same sex marriage are comparing it to the civil rights movement fought by black Americans, while at the same time saying Christianity has no place in forming laws. The problem is Christians lead the fight and paved the way for civil rights. Much of the civil rights movement was lead from the pulpit. Leaders like the Rev. Dr. Martian Luther King made the case for civil rights and the dignity for all people based on the rights bestowed by God.
The GLBT movement has strategically been involved in Christianity since the 1970's, in trying to re-define God's Natural Law to include homosexuality. It does seem the GLBT activist are now pushing the message that Christianity has no place in forming laws. Do people think this is because they were unable to show homosexuality as being a moral right defined by God?
