Is this hateful or discriminatory?

So I had this listed on eBay, and yes, I read all the rules, but didn't believe this item fell into any of the categories. It got deleted for the reason of being hateful or discriminatory.

It's a postal tag from the Falkensee POW Camp from WWII. I found it at the antique shop I work at and thought it was an interesting. Yes, it has a swastika on it, but it's not any kind of Nazi propaganda. Its part of a terrible history...but history none the less, and no amount of silence is going to make that history go away.

Yes, eBay has their rules and can do what they want. I have great success on eBay and would never do anything to jeopardize that.

I guess I'm just wondering your thoughts on this or similar items. Is this offensive to you? Do you find it hateful or discriminatory? I'm going to post a pic if I can figure it out. Lol

No. It is the people behind it. And you could(you In general) questioned why some would want it. You have a historical interest in the stamp. But you must agree that some would have interest Less historical and more hateful. They probably decided the risk was to great. It could reflect back on the company. Or protesters, and boycotts,*SHRUG* It's a PC world!

It is maybe not discriminatory.., but to many it is a part of history that is a very painful, hateful reminder of what they had to go through, or their loved departed ones. There are many books, movies, paintings and lectures that will remind the public - world wide of that dark time.  Some of the death/concentration camps are still there for anyone to see.

If you really want to sell it, call a military magizine or curiosity shop, or call a museum and see if they could suggest anything.

My first reply misunderstood what you were saying,My Mistake. I stand by the majority, obviously your the seller, but again other buyers may feel as I originally stated. If they have ww11 memorabilia shows or even auctions, nothing like high end markets, but ones that specializes in the memorabilia may be the way to go,if you don't want to chance ebay again. I still believe that though it's historical, why take the chance and possibly offend?

It's historical and kind of taboo all at once. I wouldn't have reported it. Perhaps there's a way to list it and cover the 'offensive' part?

Mmm... looting the bodies on the battlefield. So historic.

Quoting glitterteaz:

I do not think it is either. I worked in a art shop that did custom framing we did a whole custom shadow box of Nazi memorabilia. Her father got it off a soldier he killed in battle.

I think any history buff would really appreciate it and certainly NOT be offended by it. No, I don't think it's discriminatory or hateful.
