THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

I hate that story because it's so stupid and I can't see how it's romantic in anyway!

Haha, well, to be fair, it was written during a time where 13 year olds were frequently married off and began having children right away. Most love stories are a bit far fetched, just look at Titanic ;)

The people who were watching those plays didn't get daily soap operas. This was the next best thing. The tragedies were all full of this kind of Mello drama and death. Hence the description of tragedy. They also included some funny stuff like someone throwing a pie so the lower born didn't get too bored and had the chance to throw a pie

I'd still rather my kids read Romeo & Juliet in school than Twilight.

Reading this made me reconsider my all time favorite movie. You know the one with Leo? So I watched it again and was like, Wth? She just met this guy like 2 seconds ago and now she's making out with him??

Quite. Half of us think it's sooooo amazing when we're teens, and then we grow up.
