How would you have handled this situation involving your kiddo?
I'm curious to see how others would have handled this situation. It's nothing that major but even still............ humor me. lol
This is the situation.....
Mom, 3 year old daughter and Grandma are at Burger King. They order and the little one wants a crown. Mom asks the employee who gives the little on a crown. She immediately starts to scream, saying she doesn't want that one, she points to another one.
Grandma starts to bend down to talk with the 3 year old when she screams even louder and starts crying. Runs to mom, screaming 'I want my mommy, leave me alone now!'
Mom says nothing at all and goes to sit down. Grandma picks the girl up and heads to the counter. She asks the employee for a crown that is on the kids meal boxes. Employee tells Grandma they can't give her that one unless she buys the kids meal. Grandma asks why not, it's only a crown. The little one starts screaming louder and tears the crown that is in her hand. Grandma asks the employee to just give her another crown off the counter.
They sit down to eat. Little one starts screaming again, saying she didn't want to sit there, she wanted to sit over there. They move. She starts in again. They move again. And again, she starts in. Mom tells her to eat her food. The kiddo is crying and throwing herself on the floor. Mom pulls out some kind of candy and tells kiddo to eat and she can have it afterwards.
This goes on for a good 20 minutes. The crying and the screaming was loud and annoying and was beginning to bother others. Some one complains to an employee.
As a parent, what would you have done differently? As an employee (pretend), what would you have done?
