OPINION: WILL THE RIGHTS TO BEAR ARMS........................................
BE SCREENED BETTER NOW?
For all you enthusiast fighting to protect YOUR rights, will you condemn the actions of the NRA, the Koch BROTHERS, the conceal and carry permits, and the many loop holes that NUTCASES fall through for the bottom line?
I could care less that you own guns legally and do what is legally and correctly required to do. This is not about YOUR rights to own guns,it is about the innocent, the children's rights to go to a store,or a movie and or school and return home ALIVE.
We've had lively debates, pro-gun users separate themselves from these random acts of violence, however(and I don't equate most of you either)what say you about such APPARENT lacks in the right to BEAR arms that right or wrong give you ALL a bad name!
Sh#t people SOMETHING has to be DONE!*end rant, eyes wide and glassy,LOL*
UPDATE: RADRAMA FELT THE SUBJECT MATTER DIDN'T STAND ON IT'S ON,ALTHOUGH IT'S AN Opinion. BUT HAD Critique FOR THE Misuse OF BARE(NAKED)& BEAR,NO EXCUSE, BUT I SPENT A LOT OF TIME ON OTHER POSTS Yesterday.
SO I'D LIKE TO Acknowledge DAR, AND THANK HER FOR HER Keen OBSERVATION,NOT THE MATTER OF DEAD INNOCENT FOLKS, AND LEGALLY OBTAINED GUNS!
The only way Evil can triumph is for good women to do nothing!
*REAL TALK*
All you're going to get is the stupid ass argument that 'Guns don't kill people. People kill people.' Yeah... people with GUNS. There are too many damn guns floating around, too many stupid loop-holes in the laws and too many scared, paranoid Americans who think the only way to protect themselves is with a gun. How many people DIE from gun violence every year compared to people who are saved with a gun?
Is there any way to sell a person a gun but before handing it over, make the buyer promise to be good with it?
Nope.
But to make guns illegal... means only those with no regard for the law will have them.
Although I am in favor of stricter purchase laws and more courses prior to purchase I do agree with your statement.

Which they already have no regard for it if they are going to go out and kill people

I've had the same gun since the 80's. I've had my licence to carry concealed just as long. It was work related. I've never had an inclination to carry it outside of work. I've never locked it away in a safe, and it's usually loaded. I moved recently to a different state. The laws in my previous state were pretty stiff. The laws of this state go in the complete opposite direction. Anyone 18 or older can walk into a shop and buy a gun. They plug your name/info into their computer, instant response, you can buy. No classes necessary. You can open carry in this state. Meaning anyone can walk around town, the grocery, drug store, etc....with their gun on their belt, or in their hand. If I were in the grocery (or wherever) and saw someone carrying....I would leave the premises immediately. I'm not really comfortable with lax gun laws.
If this happened in my state....open carry state....there's a possibility of, say, 25 guns in the audience. The guy comes in the emergency exit...it's pitch black, he throws in a smoke bomb...now you have 25 guys shooting randomly, and chances are, killing each other and many other people. Nobody would know who the bad guy is.
Quoting stringtheory:
This debate always goes back and forth when it comes to these mass shootings. He obtained guns. He would've done it regardless. We (general) should be able to carry to protect ourselves and others from guys like this that would obtain a weapon somehow anyway (which I actually don't completely agree with in MOST situations).
