So... this question was asked in the post about the 'father of the year':

Doubtful. I think people are being kind of hard on him. Nobody knows how they will react in a situation like that and unless you were actually in that theater it's unfair to say you would have done differently.

Without a doubt in my mind, as God as my witness. Even my df was embarrassed for the guy, said the same thing and called the guy the biggest pussy alive. And when I got into the car he left me in I'd of punched him in his vagina too.

This guy deemed "father of the year" was in the theater with his wife and two children during the shooting. Well he leaves them all to fend for themselves, even so much as leaving the theater and taking off in his car. She had to call him on his cell to come pick them up. He is being scrutinized for his reaction to the situation so she is asking would you leave your husband had he done this to you and your children?

If it happened as the pp described, yes. If there is more to the story, maybe. But I wouldn't dream of leaving my family for any reason in that situation. I would want to be there and help as much as I could for not only my family but everyone else. Ugh. Just can't get this out of my mind, so horrific and sad.

No one truly knows how they would react during a moment of sheer terror. Regular thinking is taken over by natural instinct, and that's what will either save you - or kill you.
