And she is 10 yrs old. She started her period earlier that year. You don't find out about the rape until she is about 3 months along.

 She doesn't want an abortion.

What do you do? Allow her to continue a pregnancy at age 10 or force her to abort?

I'm putting up a poll out of curiosity.

I don't have any daughters.  I would hope that just talking with her and explaining why she needed the abortion would get her to agree with it.  But, if after lots of long talks, and having her doctor explain to her why a 10 year old shouldn't be having a baby, if she was insisting that she have the baby, then I guess I would have to put my foot down.  10 is too young to decide something like this for herself, and imo, a lot of stress and unnecessary pain/strain on her little body.  She would be my child, and I would have to make the tough decision to make her abort.  She may agree with me later on, or she may resent me for it, but as of this moment, I feel it would be the right thing to do.  Of course, perhaps actually being in the situation I would feel differently, but that's what I think I would do.  What a terrible situation, and I hope that no one actually finds themselves in it. :(

Considering it could kill her, I have no way of taking care of it, she has no way of taking care of it.

I would force her to abort, she is too young to understand what responsibilities she would have and the changes that are about to come.

First, I would make sure she did NOT find out she was pregnant.

I would make the abortion appt. and tell her it was just a special test to see how tall she would be as a grown up.

Then I would make sure the bastards body was never found.

That would be so difficult, but I would have her carry the baby to term and then give the baby up for adoption.  I would never have her abort in any circumstances.  Period.

This is one hypothetical question that I can't answer.  And thank god I have sons.

If I had a daughter we would choose to abort for her health and well being.   I don't for a second believe a ten y/o has the emotional maturity to truly understand what she will be going through.

I would let her choose but I would want her to abort. I would never force her though.

And if you found out it was killing her because her body could not support it?
