Wow! Did you ladies see the news about the empire state building shooting? This adds to the list of public place shootings in like the last couple of months! First it was the theater in co, then that church shooting, then the shooting close to Texas a&m, and now this! It makes me sick. As my DH put it all the crazies are going nuts at the same time! What is going in the world? Parents, how are you talking about this with your children?

It's ok! Lol
You know crazy people always have some excuse for how they react. Excuses are like assholes, we all have them.... But do we all go around shooting people that upset us?

So what do you ladies think about the gun laws? Keep them the same or make it harder to purchase a gun? I know when there is a will there is a way, but do you think a law change would be a step in the right direction?

People are more on edge than in the past.  It's not an excuse, but a possible explanation.  You always have to be aware of your surroundings.  You never know what may happen.

I really wish the media would turn it all off. It seems that whenever one shooting happens, all the hype and coverage, and until it gets so many that people are not shocked anymore, it continues.

I don't think it has anything to do with just today, I remember back when Waco and OKC and Columbine happened, it seems like the months following were just awful and it felt like the world was going to end.

I really think, the increase is caused by the media sensationalizing everything.

IMHO changing gun laws won't stop crime. The criminal will always find the guns and ammo they need.
