Yesterday we went to Chuck E. Cheese for the very first time. Our daughter was invited to a birthday party. Our whole family went, including the grand parents and that was incredibly helpful. I really think that I might have lost my mind if I didn't fear that my MIL would recap --That time my DIL had a melt down in Chuck E. Cheese-- at every family function.
First of all, from the moment we walked in the smell was that of dirty socks and the heavy weight room at Gold's Gym. = / [shivers]
What I saw was parents and care givers sitting at the booths and at tables while their children ran footloose and fancy free all over the place. I saw kids stealing tokens and tickets from the machines. I saw one little girl pull the instant photo from the Chuck E. car and rip it up before the rider could get out and get it. I saw kids being knocked down, tripped, hit and punched while parents watched from the booths. I got nervous.
After the cake was served at the party Chuck E. Cheese walked into the entry way with a group of people and he played the Cupid Shuffle. While the team of people were trying to teach the kids the dance other staff were tossing coins, tickets and toys into the crowd...and that's when all hell broke loose. OH MAH GAWD Kids from every direction came RUNNING toward the entrance at stampede speed. It was like a toddler mosh pit! My daughter really wanted a tootsie roll and she hadn't had the opportunity to get a piece of candy so I reached down to the floor and grabbed a tootsie roll for her. There was a woman who was standing next to me and she blurted out "Hey! That candy is for the kids!!" I started to explain it was for my daughter when she snatched it out of my hand and tossed it into the air. My daughter burst into tears. I held back all of the foul words I felt trying to escape my mouth and I must have shot her an evil look because she said "what are you gonna do about it?"
I grabbed my daughter and I stepped back away from the crowd. As I was walking away the lady continued to taunt me with "Yeah, that's right, walk away you piece of shit."
Low class people, they're everywhere!
