I honestly have not a clue who to vote for. I dont like either party. Im not trying to start this as a debate as to who is better and all that but i honestly just....its one of those.....i have NO clue who to vote for because i dont like both. Everytime i get asked by family 'Romney or Obama?' I just say jack sparrow.

Of course you know that Romney doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell to win our state? So my vote for Johnson or Romney wouldn't make a difference. Still not a wasted vote.

No no no Poods.  A vote is never wasted!  When Romney loses was your vote a wasted vote?  My vote for a third party candidate is not a vote for Obama or Romney, it is a vote for the candidate that I think is the best candidate.

Quoting toomanypoodles:

It's simple.  Do you feel Obama has done a good job?  Do you think the economy is good?  Do you think the country should be trillions of dollars in debt? Do you think you should be forced to pay for something you may not want by the government?  Do you think the government should stay out of your business and have limited powers?  Are you against socialism?

Any red flags there?  Vote for Romney.

A third party candidate may sound good, but it's a wasted vote--those others will not, can not win.  A vote for someone other than Romney is a vote for Obama.

But he's not going to win, sweetie.  Why place your bet on the lame horse at the end of the starting line?  Ya go for the front runners, the ones that actually will win the race.

If Romney does not get the needed votes, Obama will win.

So because my guy isn't gonna win it is a wasted vote but if your guy loses your vote wasn't wasted????  This is my problem with the idea of wasted votes.

The race is neck and neck.  If  Romney does not get the votes, he will not win.  So voting for someone that won't win will not be a vote for Romney.  If you are okay with another 4 years of Obama, then don't give your vote to Romney.

Your vote counts---Romney needs that vote in his camp....or we've got Obama again.

If we thought that Romney was a better choice, we'd vote for him. Personally, I think Romney is worse for most of America than Obama.

Neither is a great choice, but Romney is worse-

Hence, third party-

If Romney does not end up winning, was your vote a wasted vote?

I've said all I can say on this one, sis.  Vote your conscience.

If you don't dislike Obama it doesn't matter then.  Getting Obama OUT is what's important to me, so yes, my vote counts because it is a vote that Obama will not get and it gives Romney the numbers he needs to win.

lol, ya got that right!  ;)

If you don't mind answering who did you vote for last election?  I completely understand if you don't want to answer.

You could try and reflect on what expectation you had of Obama becoming POTUS.  It doesn't matter if you voted for him or not, once he became POTUS I think we all had some kind of expectation.

I voted for McCain, but when Obama was elected he became my President.  I honestly wasn't sure of what to expect from Obama as he really didn't have any experience being in an executive position.  I think it's unfortunate that the majority of people he chose to be his advisers had no experience in actually working with people who hold different ideas and getting things done.  I also don't think Biden or Pelosi were much help in Obamas first 2 years.

IMO Obama has made poor decisions not only in policy but in how he represents the Office of POTUS.

I am voting for Romney (mittens) because he is more in line with my views.  IMO Romney and Ryan both have experience in working with people who hold different views and compromising in order to get things done.  I also think both Romney and Ryan understand that if elected it is their responsibility to represent and incorporate the views of all citizens of the US and not just those who voted for them.  I will expect Romney and Ryan once elected to accept responsibility for office day one and not blame things on Obama.  I hope Obama will be as gracious at leaving Office as Bush has been.  And I expect Romney and Ryan if elected to respect Obama as a former President.

As for voting for a 3rd party, if a 3rd party candidate isn't capable of running a campaign that competes with the established 2 parties on a national level, IMO they aren't qualified to become POTUS.

I'm with you. I'm huge on voting, but very much hate both. And you know what? I'd totally vote for Jack Sparrow!
