well I don't speak that language.LOL. But I think there wouldn't be any difference between "all atheist" government and "all religious" government because there is no place for ANY religion in government ever.

So, if there ever was an "atheist" government, I say "bring it on". I'm in favor if they can  run the government efficiently and care about the citizens of the United States which I am sure they would...

I'd prefer to have diversity and acceptance of all religions and beliefs (or non-beliefs) than see one particular fraction of the country running things.

We've seen it with Christians and Catholics for a couple of centuries in this country. I don't see how changing from one belief system to another--or again, lack of one--will improve things.

Allowing all to believe as they choose when it comes to religion, faith, beliefs or no beliefs would be the ideal from my perspective.

I support it.  Much less laws based on religious belief (gay marriage, abortion, etc).

In response to your worshipping my God on my time, in my space.

Do you also check your freedom of speech except when it's on your time and in your space?

Quoting Aislinn:

Could they do any worse? No. No, they couldn't. At least I would not have their religious crap shoved down my throat. That would be a bonus. I have no issues worshipping my God on my time, in my space.

It would be good, as long, as they don't required everybody to be atheists  ( believe me, you don't want communism)

I think that it would be tight.  I'm not necessarily for atheists butI think that it would limit the use of one's 'beliefs' to make decisions about law.  I wouldn't want someone'scatholic beliefs (for example) to determine what birth control I have a right to.  No matter what a politican will use their power to futher their own wants/needs.

I would not mind at all.  That is, as long as those involved did not make the attempt to force being an Atheist on us.

I am completely for the Govt and religion not being smashed up against each other.  But on the flip side, I do not want some one, or a group of people, making the attempt to do away with all religion, so to speak.

Ugh!  I know what I am trying to say but I fear it is not coming out well.

What rights do you think they'd lose?

Quoting ButterMeUp:

I feel many ways about this.

I do feel there would be less violation of church and state, but I do also feel religious people would suffer losses of rights we now have. Although, I can't really decide if that's a bad thing or not.

I don't see the problem. But, not much would change IMO. I hope that it wouldn't be an extremist Atheist though. I don't have a set religion. But, I believe that people should be free to practice their religion.

BTW: The poll options were funny.
