There is a lot riding on tonight's vice presidential debate. Tonight, when Paul "Randsplainer" Ryan and Joe "The Bulldog" Biden butt heads, it might be useful to know just which side of the fence you're on: The takers, or the makers? For that, we have this handy chart to help you figure it out. Good luck!

College Students (IRS)

Members of the Military in Combat (IRS)

Veterans Post-2001 (Department of Veteran Affairs)

Disabled Iraq veteran/college student here....so I'm a taker.  I did pay income tax with my first job I got at 14, but I traded in my maker status for taker status when I joined the military after graduating from high school.

So sorry guys for being such a leech on society.  I am studying to be a high school math teacher, because I am concerned by the lack of mathematical aptitude of current high school graduates. So looks like your going to have to support my sorry ass for the rest of my life.  :)

Well you were going to have to do that anyways with the VA compensation, but now I am going to be a double dippin' pension earning taker .

Taker! Hubby uses GI bill for school, gets BAH while in school, gets military disability pay. Oh, and we qualify for reduced lunches for my son. We're such deadbeats.

My husband is about to run out of his unemployment Dec. 30 I guess we are at "Good luck and taker." We sure are hoping that at the end of this month a job will be starting, then my dh will be working again. We are praying like crazy because after Dec we are screwed if he isn't working.
