Obama is back in office. Can we stop the hate now?

I aim this at everyone that hates Obama because hes Obama (which is a lot of people). You are not getting him out of office which is what the last couple of years have been focused. So can we focus on rebuilding the nation now please?

Once again, I have to head to work.

NWP, I just wanted to say that I agree with every thing you have posted in this thread.

The manner in which you speak, the truth you tell, the lessons you teach and your demeanor, are to be applauded!

I am not a Romney supporter, never was, though I would have prefered him over Obama. There is little difference between a Marxist and a Fascist. There is a huge difference in fearing Obama and completely disagreeing with his policies and the direction he is leading this country. Wanting to change course does not necessarily equal fear, even though I do fear that the mistakes we make today will affect my kids tomorrow. Fear can be healthy.

Quoting NWP:

Cammi, your words here do demonstrate the fear of which I speak and how far right the right has moved, that you would consider Obama the "left of the left"...That demonstrates that your center is too far to the right.

Obama isn't really that far left from Romney...at all...As the final debate demonstrated when all Romney did was agree with the president. And even on a lot of social issues, the real Romney swings left of the TP regardless of what he may say to their faces.

And when it comes to big business..Obama is in bed with the corporate world too, unfortunately. Why do you think insurance companies are such a big part of health care and the raping of our food system (by Monsanto and friends) wasn't on the Dem agenda?

If you are looking for "far left", then you will need to look left of Jill Stein and Rosanne Barr for that.

As for Obama, you have nothing to fear.

Quoting cammibear:

I'm pretty moderate, and I have no fear of Obama. I just happen to like freedom and liberty, and I see Obama as left of the left. If he follows Clinton, and moves back to the center, compromises will be made and things "might" improve.

I'm predicting that Obama will not budge, will continue to trample the Constitution, and will collapse our economy, and justify it because of the global New World Order agenda.

I'm hoping that I'm wrong about him. :)

Quoting NWP:

I agree. Unfortunately, those who fear, fear. First, they were afraid O was a sleeper cell terrorist, now they fear he is a commie. I am afraid they will always fear.

Here is to hoping the moderates find their voices now and speak up over the fear, and help lead the fearful on their side to a more secure position than the extreme edges.

Quoting frogbender:

Can we please begin trying to work with one another rather than against one another? Stuff might actually get accomplished.

The same House that blocked and/or attempted to block the American Jobs Act (which would have helped createover 2 million jobs and protected over 1.5 million), Fair Pay Act, Oil Spill Liability Act, Small Business Jobs Act, Dream Act and the Tax for Companies that Ship Over Seas? Yeah, Ok. The House has done wonders for America. <<<Please, note the sarcasm.

The hate will only get worse. Go house of rep. Is all I can say and I hope some legal cases stop obamacare.......the united socialist states.......remember you voted for it.

i hope so but this thread doesn't make that seem promising. we will see how they work together to avoid the big cuts from going into effect. if they can do that then its a good first step.

There is another post on this site right now where people are claiming all black people are lazy, entitled, freeloaders. If anything his re-election has stirred up more hate. I hope we can rise above it.

No the right puts those words in his mouth in their bigoted websites and mass e-mails
He has been quite neutral and asking for us to all work together. He says "we're all in this together". no matter which party you favor.

Quoting cammibear:

It's gonna be kinda hard to bring a divided country together with a President that thrives on division. Just sayin'.

I have to agree some black people are very lazy. Coming from a black woman with alot of family.member who are on assistance. I had my niece say don't vote for Romney because he will take away food stamps etc. This is sad this is the mindset of young women these days smh.
