I say, we take the people who want to secede, give them their own land, let them make their own country, no dual citizenship.. and be done with it. That is only because it is so FEW people.

What do you think?

*** UPDATE

I love the Mom responses. XBox vs PS3, Halloween candy.

This is more proof that women should rule the world ;-)

We are really riding the middle with either Let Them Do It or No Way Jose! Maybe there should be another selection as well - 5) Let us vote on seceding from those who want to secede from us.

This.

Quoting PamR:

No one is going to secede from the country.  It's a ridiculous hissy fit by a bunch of whiners.  Get over it.

So no one wants to put them on an Island like me? Geesh :-)

I say once a kid is no longer in HS and they want to act grown, show them what grown is! The fear of making the threat kept me in my place as a child, maybe they need some fear of people saying, "Ok, you can leave... but only take what you bought."

if their state government okays it, then good riddance

in the meantime, one of the sensible states needs to make room, cause I'm moving.

I posted on a news site in Az, I do not want to secede and I am an Arizona native, born and raised, like the saying goes, Love it or Leave it, but don't try to drag me or my state into your tantrum

Fuck no. I live in NC and I love the mountains and really don't want to move. I also don't want to secede. Tell these people to butch the fuck up and start trying to work together with their state governments rather than be a bunch of whiny bitch sore losers who are pissed because the election didn't go their way. Fuck me. People are dumb.

Could this be any more stupid? I have a far greater chance of being struck by lightnning than this ever getting even an inch off the ground.
