I don't buy food there, but I do buy "stuff" there. I don't care for their food, but they carry the big name brands of toiletries and baby stuff at reasonable prices. I haven't been there in a few months, but I plan to go there for my "final" shopping trip for the holidays. They usually have a big bin of kid pajamas with characters on them that you can't find anywhere else. I am done Christmas shopping except for a few toys and one grandparent and I know I can find toys, pjs, and whatever for the last grandparent there.

That's what pa was created for the working man that just needs some help. Due to my kids needs I can't work full time since the 3 of them go to the dr quite often and therapy and it seems like we're at children's hospital seeing some specialist every couple weeks. =/

I'm glad you have a job. I assume the PA fills the gaps. IMO, that is exactly what it is for. I have no problem with that. In my experience, in my area, people make the choice....full blown PA or a job. They don't choose to let it 'fill the gaps'.

Dh works at WalMart and I also work we're on pa. Lots of people with jobs are on pa.

I have a friend who is an assistant manager at the Wal-Mart in my town. She started there as a high school student with a part time job. She doesn't understand the whole big issue with Wal-Mart. We live in a 'right to work state', it is a no skill, minimum wage job working as cashier or out on the floor. If you don't like it, go get training and get a better job. If you have no skills, it is a job. If you are between jobs, it is a job. She said she has never been treated the way the popular opinion tries to make you think Wal-Mart treats the employees. In her opinion, the people who complain are the ones who want something for nothing. They want high pay and benefits, but they don't want to do anything to earn those things.

I have another friend who is a manager at the Wal-Mart in a neighboring town. He went to business school. He says that Wal-Mart has all kinds of advancement opportunities if the employees are willing to take the time for the training and accept the responsibilites.

So, my friends like Wal-Mart, and they work there. I don't know. The prices are good, and I get help when I need it. Plus, a person with a job is a person not on PA which is a good thing.

Do you have a Winco near where you live? They have the items you mentioned for a lower price. And the food is cheaper.

Yes, necessary evil I guess.  They have the lowest prices for toilet paper, Kleenex and paper that's where I go.

I don't buy their clothes or shoes though...just name-brand household stuff.

I shop at Walmart for clothes, cd'd and movies.

Occasionally. It depends on what's closer when I do my shopping and what I need.

I'd prefer to shop at Target due to lesser crowds, but their prices almost double the items I buy at Walmart.

Not very often. I shop at Target . I'm loyal to our Minnesota company. People actually like working there too!

Very rarely. Their products are low quality and the store is disgusting. It is a last resort.

Depends on where I'm at.   The one near me is way too crowded and with the road construction makes it difficult to get in and out of, plus it's touted a Super Walmart but not open 24 hours.

When I do hit up one, I prefer to go at odd hours.
