Our tradition of decorating trees is more from Prince Albert in the 1800s than ancient Pagans. http://resources.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/customs/xmas/trees.html

In the meantime, I found out that my tree was atheist, so in homage to Christians past, we had to burn it. So now we are looking for a tree that was baptized as a sapling.
