That they're Turkish and have families just like the rest of us.  Why should anybody think any differently?  What kind of question is that, anyway?

I don't know if I actually know any Turkish people. Id give them the benefit of the doubt same as I do when i meet all new people. I also don't lump people by race or religion or nationality.

I know a lot of Turks, my MIL is one so DH is half. DH and I have been to Turkey several times and the people are very nice and the food is fantastic. We are taking the kids for the first time over spring break, can't wait!

I went to college with a girl from Turkey and her family came to visit her over one of our breaks and they were friggin' awesome and hilarious.  Other than them, I don't know of anymore folks from Turkey.

I know several, Turkish immigrants are quite common in Europe.  I have a friend who just travelled to her DH's homeland there.  Basically they are people like the rest of us, obviously.
