Depends.

Some gangs are great at being secretive. Some aren't.
Some kids show signs of being in that atmosphere. Some don't.

I know where my child is most of the time (90%) so hopefully.

Just FYI, Most gang activity in cities occurs during school hours when parents "know" their kids are in school...

I would think you would have to be pretty uninvolved to not know. Not knowing who their friends are, what type of interests they have, and just generally not knowing how they spend their time.

bad

Being in that industry would be one of those "signs"... Sad as it is.

I don't have a son.

My girls, I would have known.

I would know if my youngest dared to even think being part of gang was acceptable.

Ummm are you talking about uninvolved parents? Because if you are an involved parent this would not happen.  It's only when we allow are kids to run free in the streets at all hours of the night this becomes an issue.  I quoted Rose because I agree with her comment.  :)

Yes, I would know.

My daughter would have been the more likely culprit.

At 25 and 22 they are both legal adults and neither is affiliated with a gang.

 I don't have a crystal ball...I do have a son, and I have to say I am 200% sure I would know.

This boggles my mind.
