Who's thinks Christian radio is wrong for spouting right-wing politics?
When we moved I was so sad about giving up our old church. We found another, but I kept hearing politics from the pulpit. It broke my heart. Now all I hear on Christian radio is crazy right wing politics, not even fact-based information. It used to be so nurturing and helpful. I don't get why Christian radio has become equated with a political view. A very particular, self-righteous one that happens to match Republican.
Right. By their very nature, liberals are not into character assasination. Besides, Al Franken was elected to the U.S. Senate.

Liberals failed at radio. I guess because they were expected to pay for it.
If you want to listen to left wing radio tune into NPR...
I only said I won't listen to them. I didn't say that they SHOULDN't talk. Can't you read? I am sorry,...that you can't comprehend what people write.
Quoting talia-mom:
Yes they can say what they want outside of slander. I am sorry you don't believe that people can say what they want and deal with the consequences of saying it.

I think it is wrong. They want to be political, even in the face of the "Separation of Church and State" phrase. I wouldn't listen to Christian radio anyway. Or go to a "right wing" church. They can warp your mind.
Christian based radio isn't tax exempt if they receive monies from advertising. Christian based isn't the same as Christian tax-exempt.
So, then they can say any stupid, prejudiced thing they want? Is that it? I still won't listen.LOL.The Tax Exempt thing is irelevant to me. They all spew untruths.

So you don't believe someone can be left leaning and christian or do you just believe those who are left leaning should be left out of christianity? You forget that your Jesus was the ultimate liberal fella. I mean that whole feed the poor thing lol. How do do you reconcile that in your mind and heart?

Part of it is that there seems to be two kinds of Christians...one kind who tries to understand and follow Jesus, who is humble and grateful, who doesn't judge and tries to help others. And there is another kind, who wants to illustrate their superiority and judge people. Those are the ones who seem to feel it's OK to cut off aid to families, and food stamps. You know, the ones who LOVE to quote 2nd Thessalonians (Those who shall not work, neither shall they eat) and ignore all the judge not and feed the poor business. Here is one of my faves but somehow I never see it quoted by the self proclaimed Christians:
Prov. 14:31 Anyone who oppresses the poor is insulting God who made them. To help the poor is to honor God.
Your post makes you come across as being a part of the superiority and judging camp...

Exactly!
Now, just wait...."Kitty" is going to reply with all kinds of lies and inappropriate comments about Al Franken. He is my state senator and he is doing a great job and truly cares about us. He is amazing.

lol because Wind / Air is a pagan concept - sorry just kidding, I would think that Air power would be wonderful for christians - don't they believe their God created air?
Quoting MentorMom1:
I do not agree that Christianity should sound like a politcal ad of any kind.is equal to right wing. Aiding the poor and being a good steward of the planet and following Christ's teachings should have no political slant. But the right-wing has made environmental and social justice issues political.
For instance, we were listening to Christian radio one day (my DH likes to listen and then debate their stance, like air boxing!) and the commentators said wind power is a bad thing. It spoils the landscape with ugly towers that kill God's sweet little birdies. Oil and gas is so much better, they said.
Are they kidding? They haven't seen the pollution from power plants fed with coal? They don't appreciate renewable energy? Why would they be implying that God doesn't like wind power? It's ridicuous.

You are such a narrow minded, prejudiced and scatter-brained person!
Idon't listen to any talk radio. I like to make up my own mind and I won't be programmed by the church or by political rhetoric. I stopped attending churches years ago since they seem to want to brainwash their members and only the people with kindergarten minds accept it. I see childish minds here all the time, saying the earth is 6000 years old and that there were actually two original people,Adam and Eve, who God plopped down on earth to start off the world's population... LOL.
I see prejudice here at CM every day when the anti homosexual crowd starts blabbing their negative nasty harangues. Its just disturbing.
You can listen to right wing propaganda and christian radio all you want but it won't help you when you get to "the Pearly Gates".
Did you quote me by mistake?

Don't post the question if they should be able to say what they want if you didn't want someone responding to such a stupid statement.
