Best FB status I have read in a while...........mentions the President and Ted Nugent.

Posted by   + Show Post

I asked if I could share this status within the group.  He was kind enough to say he did not mind at all.

I may very well use it as my own status if things continue from a few people on my page.

I absolutely agree with him and could not have said it better myself.

Oh, and he voted third party.

'Like' if you agree.  lol

Until tonight I had never un-friended someone. But when someone posts a picture of Adolf Hitler with small children, and the headline comparing him to Barack Obama... I think I'd rather not bother being cyber pals. While I'm on this topic, I don't really care what your politics are. Believe what you want. But, to those folks out there that carry so much hatred for the current president of the united states that you feel the need to compare him to Adolf Hitler, please take a minute to educate yourself. You might want to at least pick your poison. On any given week I see these people calling him a socialist, a dictator, a muslim, an america hater, etc etc. And now I'm hearing more and more that he is coming to take all your guns away. Basically the Ted Nugent school of thinking. Wait, I just said Ted Nugent, school, and thinking, in the same sentence. Sorry. Maybe I can help you to calm down...or at least take your finger off the semi-automatic trigger for a second and take a load off...or at least unload. We have just finished four years with this president, and you are still here, the sky has not fallen. The government hasn't come to take your arsenal away. In a few years when he is done being president things will pretty much be like they are now. Not good, not bad. There are 300 million guns in this country. Those guns..your guns, will probably never go away. And if you absolutely have to compare Obama to Adolf Hitler, do me a favor and un-friend me please. You clearly know very little about history or U.S. politics. Ok, back to cute kittens and endless memes.

So what's your friend's problem with a sickening truth? It is sickening, and it IS true. Hitler used children as an excuse for gun control. Obama is doing the same. Both men stood in a cluster of children (which is what the press has put out that Obama plans to do) to announce their new gun control plans.

If 'you' don't like this, stop taking it out on the people who are capable of noting the similarities and take your issues up with Obama. Blaming those who don't like his policies instead of him is ridiculous.

You can tell your friend I said this ~ or not. I have one family on my facebook page that have been Obama fans all along. Good people, good friends ... but I did block their feed for a while because I never bought into the man's lies and I detest his arrogance. The past two weeks their thinking about him has shown a change, and it's directly linked to his own words about guns, gun control, and 'who' is actually being controlled. They understand that no criminal will obey a single one of these new laws ~ and are now stating openly that they have no intention of obeying them either.

It's just one family, but it's a start. A lot more people need to wake up, although now that he isn't concerned about reelection it may be that they wake up from a nightmare and find that reality is far worse.

I have noticed the similarities in those who believe the President is as Hitler was.

It is far more frightening than the 'truth',

She is just willfully blind.

Then you were just willfully blind if you never saw a single comparison.

I wonder if he objected all the times that President Bush was compared to Hitler, or is it just Obama he doesn't want compared to Hitler.    Do a search on President Bush being compared to Hitler and see how many thousands of times it was done.

eye rollingwhy do you always bring up BUSH? I never said anything that bad about George. I never saw anyone compare HIM to Hitler. My only comments were that he seemed like a nice guy but not that bright and that he let Cheney run the country.

Just get over it.Quit your whining.

Many people have not seen this comparison between Bush and Hitler.

Many of those people voted for him.

I recall only one comparison made by a gentlemen whose thinking was so far off the radar I immediately dismissed him.  As most people should have.

I voted for Bush, just sayin'

Did you not understand the guy was saying? Obama isn't the best, but it's blatant stupidity to compare him to Hitler.

As for the handouts, oh my God will you people just go away already! For fucks sake! The ignorance!

I don't like using exclamation points. I think they are over used. However, for this occassion, I felt justified using them three times. Which is a lot for me.

Quoting DieselsMom:

This guy sounds like he is living in a cloud, the pres needs to GO....but too many people get his handouts and don't see what it is doing to our country!

I was around for Bush. The whole way through. It was awful. However, I don't remember anyone comparing him to Hitler. A lot was said about Bush and in my own opinion, a lot of it was justified because the man was a tool.

How about we just let Hitler go. He was a monster and he's gone now. There are people in this world right now who are committing genocide against their own people. How about we break out the Hitler comparisons when we know someone is killing a shit ton of people.

I love this!  A "friend" of mine has this on her page.  I was going to let it go.  He has inspired me to comment how insulting that is for soooo many reasons!

And done.  Here's what I wrote:   I usually go past your political posts because, well, we just don't agree on anything! However, I feel compelled this time to let you know how offensive this is to me as a Jew. Comparing Hitler to anyone, with the exception of Stalin and others like him, is an insult to those who died and survived the Holocaust. Just an FYI from my point of view. I won't be engaging in any battles here.

do a google search and you will see how many times he was compared to Hitler.  Way too many to count.

Truth is truth, even the parts you don't like. O is no longer hindered by any necessity of being reelected, and that IS frightening. He's finally getting back on track to his pre-presidency agenda. Those who didn't vote for him in either election absolutely have their work cut out for them. I for one could care less what those who support him think of that.
