Do you trust the government?   Broad question, I know.  Do you trust the federal gov't, state, local?  Do you trust the gov't does what is in your best interest?  Do you trust that it always will?

For the record, I do NOT trust that the gov't has MY best interest in mind.  Not only MY best interest, I don't trust that the gov't always has America's best interest in mind.  I do trust that gov't has gov'ts interest in mind - getting, keeping and maintaining power.  In regards to pretty much everything gov't does - it always seems rather half-assed and disinterested and self-serving. .  Protect the borders, well, eh, the election is over who cares?  Education, well we'll care for awhile, but not enough to actual implement some real changes or even attempt to try something new.  Healthcare - eh,  let's just vote for whatever increase the goverment's control/power.   Taxes - well yeah let's raise those, that allows gov't to get bigger.  welfare - well, yeah, that's gov't getting bigger and getting more power.  Headstart programs- well any small effect is gone by 2nd or 5th grade, so technically it wastes money, but it increases gov't control so let's keep that. . . .

I could go on, but dinner is waiting for me to cook it.

  Your thoughts?
