Pole Fitness is a legit thing. Pole dancing as a stripper and pole dancing for competition is not the same thing. I mean, have you ever been to a strip club? do you even know how those girls "dance"? because its not really daning at all.

You all see poles and automatically think it's this seductive perverted thing, but there are a lot of dances (including ballet which i'm sure a lot of your children are in) that is plenty seductive itself. actually almost any kind of dancing can be seductive. so stop trying to relate the pole to a naked chick. they arent the same thing.

here are a couple things to help prove my point.

Pole dance is a form of performing art, a combination of dance and gymnastics. It involves dancing and performing acrobatic tricks with a vertical pole and is often found in erotic clubs. it is an increasingly popular form of fitness and dance, practised by many enthusiasts in gyms or dedicated dance studios. A wide range of amateur and professional competitions are held in many countries around the world.

Before the mid 2000s, pole dance mainly took place in strip clubs. Since then, promoters of pole dance fitness competitions have been trying to change peoples’ perception of pole dance and to promote it as a non-sexual form of dance and acrobatics. Pole dance has furthermore been influenced by Chinese pole, a form of acrobatics that is performed incabaretcircus and stage performances in a non-erotic environment. Pole dance in competitions is increasingly performed in a non-erotic way and is combined with a range of dance styles or gymnastics.

Pole dance requires significant strength, flexibility and endurance.[1] In a strip club setting, however, pole dance is often performed less gymnastically and stripteaseGo-Go, and/or lap dancing are the predominant parts of the performance, to the extent that the pole dancer(s) may simply hold the pole or move around it without performing acrobatics. Pole dance proper involves athletic moves such as climbs, spins, and body inversions using the limbs to grip. Upper body and core strength are required to attain proficiency, and rigorous training is necessary.[2][3]

Pole dance is now regarded as a recognized form of exercise[4] and can be used as both an aerobic and anaerobic workout.[5] Recognized schools and qualifications are now common.[6]
